Hi, I’m Erin!

Saint Louis Missouri photographer Erin Orban

I always hate writing 'About Me' sections because it feels like you have to figure out how to tell someone your entire life story and fit your whole personality into a blurb but I'll do my best!

I'm 33 years old and have been married for 8 years to my second shooter, Andrew.

My husband and I met while working together at Starbucks. I transferred into his store as a Shift Supervisor, aka his boss, and it was nowhere near love at first sight. Before transferring, I was warned about some guy that hit on all the girls and would do the same to me. I told all my friends about the annoying guy at work and then 9 months later had to tell them all that that was who I was now dating.

I've been Gluten Free for 12 years and with the amount of times I have cried in grocery stores over major brands creating GF options (THANK YOU OREO AND KRAFT MAC), I feel like it's part of my personality at this point.

I am totally an extroverted introvert. I know that may sound weird, but the number of people who have told me 'BUT YOU'RE SO OUTGOING' when I say I'm an introvert proves my point. lol. My personality shines best when you get me around my people, if I'm around something I love to do, or if we just vibe.

Anytime I'm driving I'm typically listening to either a podcast or audiobooks. In my downtime, I'm either reading, watching a show on one of our MANY streaming services, or gaming with my husband.

I love photography because I love connecting with people and sharing in their lives. I love having FUN and you will most likely find me dancing on the dance floor after a long day's work at a wedding.

Smiling, laughing, and photos that just show emotion are my favorites. One of my clients phrased it best, "When the music fills a still photo, or laughter/tears/emotions are felt," THOSE are the best. (Shoutout to Heather M!)

I hope I get the chance to share in the moments that are sure to be core memories for you forever!

XOXO,
Erin

“Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever… It remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.”
